A couple of lock down charts for you to look at Boro/UK & UK/Spain

On the face of it, there will be some obvious consequences in time.

There could be some missing bits of relevant info. For instance the Spanish might spend a lot more time normally in parks and beaches, so similar attendance levels now in both countries would show a bigger % drop in Spain.

Looking at the Middlesbrough figures we are comparable to the national picture so it surprised me when the Sun recently had a survey indicating we were the worst place to respond to the crisis, with 25% breaking lockdown. I did wonder though if that was because a large proportion of the population were unable to stay off work, either because of poverty or because a large number worked in food and healthcare such as at James Cook.

Less time spent in parks in the Boro compared to national average. Also more time spent at home.

That ‘survey’ was App based so it was what people ‘said’ they were doing. Not sure how relevant that is - just for clarity really

Yes. This is probably more accurate as it is based on anonymised data from mobile phone tracking. Not perfect, as not everyone carries a phone. However I guess is gives reasonable data given the sample sizes in the various countries and regions.
