That Birmingham match really had it all didn't it, I remember coming away from that feeling absolutely gutted, it was like the Fulham match at the end of the previous season when Dimi went up for a corner.

Gaston was a proper hero, had everything in his hands in becoming a Boro legend but threw it away along with the his dummy.

I was thinking how good was he before he stopped playing.

I always remember coming away from Derby after we beat them and you could tell who was Boro by the grins on our faces. Slightly different feel coming away from Burnley though. Albert missed a sitter that would have put us two up.

I remember watching Burnely at the watchalong in the Riverside, was a bit weird but will always remember the whole concourse going absolutely mad when Rhodes scored and the deathly silence when they equalised.

Just looking at the squad for that season and saw Kike Sola so thought I'd check his Wiki out... he retired the season after he was with us, he was only 32! This is what it says:

"On 1 June 2018, citing a "lack of motivation", the 32-year-old retired from football."

Never would have thought that...

I miss George Friend.

I'd forgotten just how many chances we missed in the final games, could have been out of sight at the top.

It was a great time to be a Boro fan with some great days out.

Honestly thought we'd blown it at Bolton,what a comeback and unbelievable scenes.
Some epic goals amongst them, foreshaw,rhodes and stunning to name but a few.

How karanka gets any stick on here is beyond me.
Those couple of seasons were just absolutely brilliant.
