9 day quiz - FINAL RESULTS published - Otto42's favourite matches (mid 1970s to 2020)

Just so you know. I will launching the next quiz shortly. I will then move on to processing the results from the last round of this one.

Yet again everyone predicted the first place match. My darling wife lived in Burgess Hill, Lewes and Haywards Heath for some time. So although she was born in South London she is a Brighton supporter. We were both there at the match. Plus we went out and about around town for all of the evening. We also shared a hotel with a lot of unhappy Brighton supporters. Just over the road from the town hall square. What a day and night.

Thanks to Otto42 for sharing his views with us over the last 9 rounds. He can go now back to taking part in the next quiz.

For the final time here are his words:

"Slim pickings today after yesterday's feast of games to choose from. So in first place I expect a full house....

(1) Boro 1 Brighton 1 May 2016....we are back in the big time after seven years away. Tremendous nerve jangling atmosphere, just a shame we chucked it away the following season.....'We are going with Agnew...'🤔

(2) Second from the same season Boro 2 Derby Co 0 January 2016. We thoroughly outplayed one of our main rivals in front of a sell out crowd. I thought we would walk the league ...instead in typical Boro fashion we made it hard for ourselves!

(3) Boro 3 Leeds 0 March 2018, Paddy Bamford and Adama ripped them appart. Great attacking play probably in spite of Tony Pulis.

The only others I thought of were the dramatic late winners in the promotion season against Reading and Hull and perhaps the opener against Stoke back in the Premier. Tried hard to think of any from this and last season and the only one that had a vague shout was the Spurs FA Cup game..Here's hoping for better post the COVID-19 shut down!"

So here are the final results. The scoring was quite varied. With a range from 7 to 4 points for the final round.

Thanks again spanishman 👍
I had Leeds then changed to Ipswich, got told it was out of the years bracket then went for Sheff Utd to be different

Congratulations to NZBoro1👍

And runners up coluka & weststandwally 👍

Looking forward to the next one already 👍

I keep telling myself I'm going to stay off here for a couple of days but now I can't 😊😩

This will be great if all of the chosen away games are southern based from 88-92 or midlands based from mid 90s to mid 2000s, Haven't managed many away games since then (unless they're on dodgy TV)

Disasterous last round in the previus quiz - managed an honourable draw with Erimus though (I don't think our wet night in Mark Barham's Brighton will feature in next round though)
