78 years ago today

'Twas on a summer's day--the sixth of June:--
I like to be particular in dates,
Not only of the age, and year, but moon;
They are a sort of post-house, where the Fates
Change horses, making history change its tune,
Then spur away o'er empires and o'er states

Unimaginable what those many thousands of men storming the Normandy beaches went through. RIP to those that are still over there.

When you stand on the beaches and look at what they had to breach, you just wonder in amazement at what they achieved.

This has been missed this **** holiday weekend. As much as important as the Jubilee. Anywho, here's me, and my sadly departed Dad, on a last trip to Normandy. Proper hero9a.JPG
