Spike most memorable match Sunderland this season, I was there right opposite when Dennis Tueart got sent off, linesman gave a throw our way and Tueart told him to FO and put the Vs up...5 minutes later Bobby Kerr got sent off... Great win that day against the cup holders they were sick as dogs.
The season before I was there when we got brayed 4-0 and we beat them at home with Malcolm Smith getting both.

There was over 36k at home and over 40k at their place.
 
That was Malcolm Smith 1st full game, he'd made a sub appearences in the season before final fixture
 
We always did well at home against them, but I seen us beaten with them scoring 4 on 3 occasions.

The Fullwell end was very very loud(I thought it was the roof) but the Roker end that day was the loudest, I was in the Fulwell terrace and there was no segregation. Favourite away ground along with the Baseball Ground. Holte end Villa and the Kop Liverpool were breathtaking when they scored.

Always thought Ayresome when we had a team on the backfoot was incredible, Don Mackay said it was just special that with only 7.5k in it makes more noise than a ground with 30k in it.
Ipswich captain IN 87 said when we beat them 3-1 at home, we played them off the park for 60 mins they got 2 corners and felt like there was 50 thousand there, we just panicked with the crowd noise.
