7/2 to go down

I've noticed Wigan are 1/3.

I believe it all hinges on them and their form because they play a lot of teams in and around us.

They're in the form of their lives, at least they were before this bombshell landed on them.

Although I'm desperate to see us stay up, personally, I'd hate to stay up at the expense of Wigan's misfortune.

12 points deduction puts them 6 points behind us. From a probability perspective, we are likely to pick up another few points from our last 5 games, which means they need probably ten more (out of 15) to finish above us. Its not likely, however pessimistic we feel about our own side.

They got 10 out of their last 15
In fact 13 out of 18 if you go back further

On the plus side Hull have awful form (with one exception) and Luton, Barnsley, Charlton's form is the same as ours.

But would you bet on them continuing that form, at even odds?

They now have the relegation cloud hanging over them, and a number of six pointers coming up. Hammered at the weekend.

That's what I'm trying to look as a positive.

Our fixtures on paper look harder than Wigan's, however, would you rather play teams that have very little to play for? Or teams who are fighting for their lives at the bottom?

It's a tough one.

All I know is we have our own fate in our hands and that's all you can ask for at this stage of the season.

Yes thats true. I know we're all p1ssed off just now but the reality is we genuinely are unlikely to go down.

If u were a betting man I'd be snapping those odds up. Wigan are only going to save the third from bottom club.
I can't see Barnsley finishing above us either in truth. Wigan and Barnsley have to play each other too which is a good thing. Barnsley then have to play 3 x top 5 sides.

Well we're at the bottom and we're not fighting for our lives !! Or it doesn't appear that way

I don't see where a goal is coming from, much less a win.
We are conceding more goals and look dire at the back.
We simply don't look like scoring and are the lowest scorers in the league by a long way.

No real fans want to see us relegated, but to say we are genuinely unlikely to go down is just daft.
We are where the players deserve to be and I can't see any fight, passion, or application. If Warnock can't change this then we will drop.
Assombolonga, Fletcher, Saville, McNair and Johnson are spineless and useless.
Friend, Shotton, Clayton are finished.
These are 8 of the 9 most senior pros still left - and even Howson was awful on sunday.
It really is a motley crew.

Yes that's arguably worse, but as I say, 3 very tough games after that. And there's no guarantee at all they'll take points off Luton.

I think we will sneak another 3-4 points, absolute worst case.

I hope so. But I can't see Millwall giving us anything. They're chasing a top 6 place - therefore 0 points there.

Bristol City at home - that is the main fixture we need to target because they're in free fall.

Reading away - they've got nothing to play for, but looking at their 5-0 win on Saturday, I can't see it being easy.

Cardiff home - they're fighting for a play off spot again. And they're in good form. Very tough game.

Sheff Wed away - they maybe fighting to ensure they have enough points in case a points deduction comes their way.

Get 3 points against Bristol City and I think we could have enough.

Unlikely means <50%. That's why we're 7/2.

If you think we're >50% then you should be lapping those odds up.

I can see us beating Bristol City, another draw or two and we're home and dry.(y)

I'd still worry, two wins, and maybe a draw to offset any same points worse goal difference scenarios and I'll be happy. We could conceivably barely get any more points and stay up of course, but I'd dearly love us to wrestle the mantle back in to our own hands rather than worrying about other teams results.
