6 Nations Wal / Eng

For the last few matches England have given away too many penalties. It’s a constant theme and something that needs addressing
Poor discipline has defined Jones' reign as England boss. So often cost us or allowed teams back into the game. Itoje in particular needs to get a grip of himself.

Time to rebuild now. Farrell and others need replacing ,plenty of new blood out there .

We need to get sorted for the world cup in France which may lead to some interesting selections over the next year or so.

Farrell is out of sorts. Lack of club rugby perhaps? When he is on form, he is a very good player and good enough to captain England into a world cup final. However, we certainly have not seen that form in this 6N.

Daly also does not look the player that he was. Again, is this just temparory lack of form, or something more?

Wales have the advantage that their squad has no where near the depth of England. They used the autumn internationals to see if there is up and coming talent and found just three players. They are tight knit with a good team spirit. The team today was almost the old guard, but they were disciplined and had enough flair to score their tenth try in three games.

That was a poor England performance and it's difficult to see where they go next. I thought their backs did ok today, but the half backs are tactically weak and most sides will easily cope with crash ball Vunipola. Interesting to see how many from this side get into the Lions squad.

I think the Saracens relegation then subsequent suspension of the championship is having more of an effect than we realise. There are plenty of decent players in that squad but they just aren’t performing. Billy Vunipola is nowhere near his best and maybe like of game time is the reason Itoje is giving away so many penalties? It’s a big issue having so many players not actually playing rugby outside of internationals

Saracens lads need dropping till they are playing regularly. It’s not just match sharpness they just look unfit.

To get back level only to lose by 16 points is shocking by England. They get what they deserve for absolutely awful discipline.

The team has regressed massively since beat the All Blacks at the World Cup. It’s almost like that was the team’s peak. Injuries are also having an impact though. England not having Lawes, Launchbury or Underhill means the defence is not as good.

Is it time for a new coach? Maybe EJ has taken them as far as they could go?

England's indiscipline throughout the game was poor but you can't and shouldn't have to legislate for the referee awarding two tries in the way that he did. All credit to England for pulling it back to 24 all at one point. They'd done all the hard work in the face of adversity, but I find it hard to criticise anyone after the complete incompetence of the referee. Even a couple of the penalties he awarded against England were harsh. The Itoje rip in the tackle and the tackle after the lineout were both very borderline not to mention penalising Farrell for not rolling away when he had no opportunity to do so.

Really fine margins at that level, the referee perfroming like that completely ruins the game as a fair spectacle.

Itoje should have had a yellow. Even warned. Poor refereeing.

Gatland will not have been impressed with what he saw from England

Yeah let’s not kid ourselves. The referee wasn’t biased he was just bad. To picky. Far to many penalties and too many bad decisions

It's a shame in that it does ruin a match as a spectacle. England were repeatedly going in from the side and not stay on their feet, so they should have learnt. I prefer Australasian refs as their approach to the game is quite different.

I was against that but perhaps it’s needed. I said after the Scotland game don’t be surprised if England lose 3 games this Championship. They could now lose 4 for the first time. If that happens it will be hard for Jones.

I think maybe the message is wrong at the moment. When Jones first arrived it was clear. Win the World Cup. Not doing that after playing brilliant rugby before the final has knocked the players big time.
