When Malcolm Allison brought KB to the Boro I, wrongly, thought he was a player who had finished due to an injury & was coming back to football for an easy ride, stroll around then pick up his check, how was I wrong, what he was was a true professional

For me he was a fantastic signing, he played a total of 5 games for the Boro, 4 starts & one sub appearance, when he started a game we didn't lose, he came off the bench once v Derby at home which we lost

His last start v Newcastle he was MOTM, this player had retired from football, due to a knee injury & with basically one good leg he was quality, when you watched him you could imagine when fully fit what a class player he was & how good he must have been for Bobby Robson, you could see on top form how he was the man who was keeping the late, great Willie Maddren out of the England team
5 appearences for the Boro, one goal, which was a penalty v Notts County in the FAC 4th round

The game v Newcastle ended 1-1 with Mick Baxter scoring his 1st goal of the season

I thought so, it’s the only match I remember him playing in and he was class. I also remember Simenson - he kept playing these little diagonal balls behind our defence hoping one of the Charlton players would latch on to what he was doing but none of them did!

It was my one and only trip to the Valley and that massive side terrace was still there but not in use.

Along with John Walk who I thought was good for us - he was a list of passed the best that we have had over the years. Probs the worst ever was Branco the 40 something brazillian full back

The fella was in chronic pain, if I remember correctly, but looked majestic playing for us
Great cameo

That Newcastle game in 1983 Think Keegan got their equaliser. Header into the Holgate end goal.
