Between 27th Jan and 7th Feb 1968 Boro played Hull City FOUR times.
They did use a total of 14 players for those games. No complaint about squad size
Willie Whigham Billy Horner Gordon Jones Frank Spraggon Bill Gates Don Masson Mike Kear Derrick Downing Big John Arthur Horsfield Jonny Crossan
Eric McMordie John O'Rourke ( last game for Boro I think) Dave Smith (one of only 2 games for Boro)

No subs were used in Games 3 & 4
The crowds at those games show how important the F A cup was to fans in those days



For the two away games I got a football special train. These were quite regular in the late sixties but football violence put an end to them in the seventies.
Boothferry Park had its own station. the train pulled into Hull Paragon and then did a loop out to the footie ground. You got off the train walked 5 steps to the turnstiles
Remember going to Peterborough Everton and Mansfield even though it didn't have a station on a football special.
