Apologies for posting my first political thread on the new board. I just could not resist it.

Please can someone tell me what is being done with the extra 350 million quid the NHS is getting this week?

There will be nothing till 31 December as we continue to pay into EU coffers

Then there will be nothing to the NHS as the lower tax take and higher costs policing our borders needs to be made up from somewhere.

Now the Tories can't blame the EU for all our woes, I wonder if they will take full responsibility for them now?

Why are you so bothered, I thought you lived in Spain. 😜
Here is what I said on Facebook on this issue earlier today: "I worry about the poor people in the UK. Particularly in the North East of England where I am from. I am one generation down from a family that was very poor. My guess is that the poor in the same area will be worse off now and in the long term because of what has happened. The rich will get richer and the poor will get poorer. That will be the legacy of the Tory party. It has been in the past and it will be for the future. That is the sad thing for me. "

Weren’t we supposed to have 40 FTA’s ready to sign the second after Brexit?

Have we actually Brexited yet though?
I read in some reports that Johnson says we left on Friday night but I’ve read other reports that Johnson has said we don’t leave for another year.
Johnson is not making much sense to me.

We have left the EU so we can sign FTA’s.

There is a Transition period of 11 months before our new relationship with the EU and every other country in the world, whatever that may be, comes into effect and must be implemented by us and the EU.

Sorry dont understand your question, as we will not stop paying into the EU until 31/12/20.

My point is that Johnson is confused about this.

He has said during the election campaign he was going to get Brexit done by the end of January but it appears to me that he now has a load of work to do to get it properly done by the end of the year.

Still, it was an opportunity to drink a lot and burn a few flags...

Is that why you voted for Brexit? You need to become better informed before you vote in future.

I didn't vote for Brexit, because I was informed enough to know this was rubbish. When in the past myself and other Remainers pointed out it was highly unlikely we would have Trade deals done quickly that were remotely as good as the ones we had in place, the cry was 'project fear' and Liam Fox says he already has made such progress he states there will be 40 Trade Deals ready to sign the second after brexit.

You're much more likely to need the NHS if your elderly, it was the elderly which on the main voted to leave the EU. If there are shortages of Doctors and nurses, let's hope it's those that wanted out are in the queue the longest.

They reap what their sow.

Are you serious? Is this the Labour party policy of your branch? My Labour branch supports the NHS being available for all, free at the point of use, on the basis of need.
And don't forget the 4,000,000 Labour leave voters, you think all of them should go to the back of the queue?

You clearly didn't bother read what I wrote Dave.

Oh and I don't speak for my branch or my party, I speak for me.

I am what you might call elderly and voted leave. I am in need of NHS services. Thank you for wishing me prolonged pain and I’ll health

I never wished you that at all, I just hope you're at the back of the queue if there are shortages because having being warned you took the risk of having such shortages.
