28 Years Later (POTENTIAL SPOILERS)

You don't actually need to watch 28 Weeks Later to watch this film. Although it doesn't harm.

Interesting listening to Kermode's take. He talks about Holy Island as if its a fictitious place and the causeway isn't a real thing! Some potential spoilers in it though.

On reflection (28 hours later) I do think it was incredibly good. But that's how I felt about the original.

Watched the first 2 again today.
Could maybe remember 10% of each of them haha. Memories eh?
Was looking on imdb earlier and the 2nd one had a different writer and director.
Looking forward to the new one.

Went to see it today at The Odeon. I was a bit apprehensive as the last two Jodie Comer films I saw at the cinema were disappointing to say the least.
Having said this I really enjoyed this plenty of action and a decent storyline. The ending (which was a bit weird and begs an obvious question which I won’t go into for spoiler reasons) sets it up nicely for the next instalment.

Yeah Boyle was an arms length exec producer for it. Don’t think he was fully bought in.

Yes. When I saw it I was like “what??” But then discovered the sequel has already wrapped.

The Kermode and Mayo review is accurate - lots of action and weird.

Its a sort of escapism from our relatively mundane world.

I caught write about igt much because is will spoil it, but there is quite a family theme and coomunity theme that there was not in 28 days later.

Do watch.

I hope the camera man is not a Boro fan - I would not like to think a phone with footage from this film has been used on turnstiles I use!
