27% of Brits think Johnson is honest

People are that thick. Or they just don't care. A lot of it is probably apathy. If you're not politically engaged you might be charmed by his bumbling public school persona. The majority of the public won't scrutinise and see his complete lack of ability.

It's just shocking that they STILL can't see it, when his incompetence is actually killing us.

Thats the attitude that helps the Tories win. Labour got F***ing battered in an election. Its because people are thick, no it isn't Labour wasnt good enough and wasnt trusted.

Labour lost the election because the Tories created the narrative on which the election was to be fought - Get Brexit Done. That Labour had ‘forgotten it’s heartland’ was a side show, an excuse for supposed die hard Labour voters to put their cross against a Tory. They did it because they wanted Brexit done. Corbyn whether you liked him or despised him didn’t have a hope in hell as he was not pro Brexit and was absolutely demonised by the press. The Corbyn - forgotten the heartland stuff was just a smokescreen to Brexit. Labour needs to massively up its game and get the press on side a La Blair. It does t matter how hopeless Johnson is, how corrupt his party are how much the people who can least cope are suffering or how much they have bankrupt the economy. Come next election people will be warned about Labour taking us back into the EU, that note left in the Treasury over a decade ago, the heroic response to the pandemic etc. but above all if they again control the narrative with a new 4 word narrative ‘you can’t trust Labour’ people will feel it’s better the devil you know and once again vote Tory. The coming years will be make or break for Labour and they need all the help they can get.

Anyone who voted for this believing Labour couldnt be trusted but this lot could are beyond thick

Starmer this week on James obriens show said yes when asked if he is going to attack brexit in upcoming pmqs. That's good to hear. He has also said that freedom of movement is not on labour's agenda for the next Parliament. This is largely because it can't be. We couldn't join the single market in one parliament in any case.

What he will do is start to build bridges with the EU and has said that we will realign on animal welfare and vetinary issues, a needed step in closer alignment.

It will take a decade to rejoin the EU and probably as long to rejoin the customs union and single market.

However the implementation of brexit is easily attacked without blaming brexit itself.
