Not sure if anyone has posted about this latest episode.
Basically. 2 crims targets a guys house to steal his motorbike.. The owner spots them on his CCTV and gives chase, knocking them off their motorbike and sustaining serious injuries to both of them..
it’s well worth watching and a very conversational piece of TV.

Horrendous what happened / the impact on that poor guys life an his family. His physical appearance totally changed such was the impact on him. They received 150k in a go fund me page and yesterday said any more would go to charity. Hopefully they can build back a decent future for themselves and their children.

I love that show, but more often than not it leaves me annoyed as fck at the end when the outcome is revealed. It was so obvious what was going to happen all the way through Mondays. I felt so sorry for the guy and his wife.

Literally still on crutches and with healing broken bones, they were caught in a stolen cloned car! And one of them was breeding another !!
The problem for me is a serial offender with say 50 burglaries is almost treated the same way as a first offender in terms of sentencing. They were career criminals and should have been sent to prison

The policeman who said the guy shouldn't have taken matters into his own hands and should have left it to the police to do a full forensic investigation themselves ... do you think he's a bare-faced liar, or does he genuinely believe that the police still investigate burglaries, even ones where nothing is taken?

They don't even investigate burglarys when some one enters your home whilst you're sleeping and takes a load of stuff , I know because i,ve had it first hand .
In fact sorry Cid did turn up 5 days after the event , they asked me if I knew who had done it, I told them if I did there would be no need to call the police ;), so in and out my house within 5 minutes including the time it took to ask if I was insured and giving me a crime number .

Agree the scrotes shouldn’t benefit from this in any way however we don’t have a system where a victim of crime can do whatever they like to a perpetrator of the crime. He has taken the law into his own hands and committed a worse offence than the original, and has been punished accordingly.

The red mist clearly descended and he wasn’t thinking straight.

We do need to completely change the justice and penal system so those committing criminal offences are rehabilitated as early in the process as possible so they do not descend into a life of crime. Not want the people in power want though.
Agree with that it's easy to say give them a good kicking if someone enters your home but your leaving your family in danger and open to revenge attacks from people and communities who don't hold back or respect law and order.
Having said all that those two scumbags should have got a custodial sentence

It's a really sorry situation when a crime like that occurs, that people don't feel the police will do anything/ be close by to help.

We remanded two burglars last week, who entered two properties and didn’t take anything.

Burglary is treated differently from force to force. Depending on how much crime there is in the area in which you live.

Cleveland, West Yorkshire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside are different to Durham, North Yorkshire, Cumbria etc.

Love the series. Just watched this episode. It felt like such an injustice. The 2 scum bags hadn't even recovered from their injuries before they were out committing further crimes (one discharged himself from hospital). Meanwhile the hard working family man who will probably never commit another crime in his life is sent to prison and his family have had to move out of the area. Of course his actions weren't the right way to go about things but you can see how anyone could react like that given the circumstances.

Making the most difficult choice to terminate a pregnancy due to his pending prison sentence. Such a tragedy.

when I lived in boro and central Stockton I had 2 forced entry burglaries and both times I was visited by an officer and later on, forensics came round to take fingerprints. I know it still happens today, but all crime is prioritised and if someone is getting murdered you will probably have to wait as you aren't under any threat.
