20th June restart

This is the interesting bit from the EFL statement

Whilst matches will unfortunately have to take place without supporters, we are working with our broadcast partners, EFL Championship clubs and all relevant stakeholders to broadcast the remaining 108 games plus Sky Bet Championship Play-Offs either live on Sky Sports, iFollow or a club’s equivalent streaming service.

And there are going to be five subs allowed. I don't really see the point of that rule.

Maybe they just mean the camera crew so as they're not exposed from the players over the full 90 minutes 😁

Joking aside let's hope we're ready, I have said enough on this subject but unfortunately it's going to happen & my big concern is the lack of goalscorers we have in our team
It's been evident to often this season we go a goal behind & game over, if we don't overcome this then our chances of survival will be limited
Hopefully Woody has em fired up from the word go & he proves his worth in the dug out, Hull & Charlton were in free fall & will probably look back & think they've been given a bit of a break & a fresh, new start

Whatever we think, or say about this situation we're all Boro fans with the same thing in common for our football club to survive 👍

Apparently QPR CEO is both "stunned" & "absolutely appalled" whilst also being "vehemently opposed to this schedule" - the 20th June restart.. & has made his feelings known to the EFL & probably thrown some toys out of his pram....

He added "The players haven't even returned to full-contact training at this moment and yet they are now expected to be in a position to play at a competitive level in just three weeks' time,"

Indeed the temerity of the EFL to expect gown men, & professional footballers at that, to be able to run around after a bag of air in an empty stadium - imagine if they had to do a real job. One of the dears may pop a sprocket..

If everyone returns at the same time - its an even playing field - yes they'll be a bit rusty & off the pace a little though they've had 3 months to keep good general fitness & any little niggles should have gone by now - it's the ideal mid season break they are always banging on about..

Suck it up & get on with it..

This could take a nasty turn yet.
Some Prem clubs are reported to be against any relegation this season.
I’m pretty sure they could unilaterally do that (help anyone?).
Can’t help thinking a deal has been struck - all those in the bottom 6 or so were vehemently against playing at neutral venues. Trade off could be - support the big boys and we will support you.

I’d find it quite funny if they did that

Those reports are that they're opposed to relegation if the season is not completed, not that they're opposed in general.
