19 Leicester Councilors Stood Down.

It doesn’t matter.

Your argument was out of 18 councillors 2 defected to the Tories which validated the rest being deselected. I mean forget the Labour racist element 😬

But it’s perfectly reasonable for a Tory MP to sit on Labours bench

Politics of morons
No my 'argument' was those 2 deserved to be deselected

An Labour friend, who was heavily involved in local politics, deputy leader of the party and researcher/ advisor in Westminster until he moved to Scotland for work and joined the SNP.
He was originally from there. Spotted Blair coming a mile away and predicted the success he would have…he didn’t like how it was done or the man himself, but pragmatism rules in that game. But he always said the party would pay a price.
Blair’s greatest political gift was the ability to fake sincerity. Starmer not so much.

Blair had that special ability - to convince himself of his own lies. Starmer still has the good grace to look shifty and unconvinced.

Blair was a”politician” Starmer isn’t, yet.
I don’t dislike Starmer, and like every election want Labour to win.
But it's a different political landscape from 97 or even 2010. It’s going to get very dirty and vicious in the lead up to the next election. Watching the Tories at the moment setting up their battleground. Hope he’s got some bruisers on board when it goes into the gutter. Because good grace won’t cut it there.

Joined the Nationalists, hows that worked out for him? A Nationalist party that for a few years has had the fortune of being headed by a couple of folk who could at least describe themselves as a bit progressive, but a Nationalist party all the same. Will revert to their traditional Tartan Tories as soon as the next leader gets installed.

Do you really think Starmer is shifty? I think he’s about as sincere and honest as a person can be, and his cv backs it up. He’s like the anti Boris.

Re: the Leicester deselections. Weird incident, but the way Labour is run now I’d bet my hat on them all being F***ing useless, think competence is a key skill that many previous low level Labour tryhards were missing.

What a blooming hopeless generalisation. I hope you have plenty of hats.

This board definitely has a right wing slant but most of the time it's just ranting and very little actual politics and policies are rarely discussed and when they are it gets shut down

This week we had hundreds of judges say they will ignore the oath the swore to protect to refuse to prosecute climate protesters, whilst Starmer wants to prosecute them 🤷‍♂️ The weed statements were again interesting but again seems weird to use as an example of law and order. It's a more interesting solution to out problems

Then he shows again what a dishonest leader he is saying the MET needs reform. Last month he was praising the MET commissioner Cressida d*ck. He is going to be a liability in a general election

So it's not just about past pledges but about his integrity

And the polls are based on 2 events parrygate and Truss not on what Starner is doing. Most polls actually show when asked questions like who do you want as PM a majority for "non of the above"

There can't be UKIP, Reform, Tories and Labour on the right and centre right as there will have to be a new party or we will see an enormous shift to greens and independents
‘This board has a right wing slant’.
Is that a typo??

Is it though?

There’s obviously a sense of cleaning house and making them a serious electable party. I only know it from the Westminster and very local level, but wow, pick a table of 10 local councillors and 7 of them aren’t worth the price of the chair they’re sitting on, that’s local politics. Mostly an absolute joke.

Westminster-wise with Labour, most of the best and sharpest people are in most of the best jobs. It’s not about ideology, it’s clearly about competence, diligence and people who actually earn their money by knowing their brief, working hard and being intelligent in the first place.

I’m a technocrat so I’m all about it, and I don’t think it’s outrageous to want the brightest people running our country - it’s great if they also care.

Blair and Johnson were (and remain) shameless liars. Starmer is also a liar but doesn't have the acting skills to carry it off convincingly, although he seems to fool some people.

I hate to say it but:

As if any prospective future Prime Minister isn’t giving interviews to the newspaper with the biggest circulation (3 million!) in the UK, you have to play the game

And it is annoying when people glue themselves to roads, and honestly not the solution to a climate crisis. It’s not like the hole in the ozone layer gets smaller every time someone sellotapes themselves to a goal post.

If those are the two biggest Keir Starmers lies, we’re doing well.

Don't say you won't give them interviews then. You genuinely think that is the behaviour of a man who is "as honest as they come"?

He says whatever the hell he thinks he needs to say to get into power, have some bloody principles ffs.

The make up of the top jobs in the shadow cabinet, is all about ideology. Competence you say, I'm pretty sure I can remember the shadow Chancellor not knowing how capital gains tax is charged and what on.

Mate it’s not exactly Boris going “Enjoy your lockdown, we won’t be partying - oh god six months down the line after we’ve been called out about it for four weeks we were partying, but not really”, or Boris going “There is no way the country is going into lockdown and schools will not be closing” literally days before they do, or… my god, there’s a hell of a list of politician’s lies.

I see nothing here that’s even a minor lie that makes me question his character and sincerity.

You’re all cracking posters usually so I’m guessing you have a problem with Starmer. Fair enough, but back it up with substance, this is so fluffy.
