He's decent but 16m is ridiculous, isnt that what we got for Traore.
Those who were valuing Fry at 5m maybe need to thimk again.
 
I think its £14m plus add ons, but it seems an extremely high price for a Championship full back. I remember Tyrone Mings been around £8m from Ipswich to Bournemouth.

Was Cash the best player on the pitch when we played Forest last season?
 
This what teams in the Prem have to pay to get players of Cash's level in. Its not necessarily a reflection of his ability but the desire and competitiveness in the market to strengthen. Villa obviously need a right back and had to pay to get him.
 
He's a decent player. That said it seems that clubs are willing to pay big for young champo players.

I actually see it as a positive for us. Its not like we gonna be buying any😂. So it is clearly a champo clubs selling market.

I don't know what Spence / Coulson / Tav etc are worth. You listen to most doom mongers on here and they say 3-5mil (at best). I honestly believe as they are young and English make the feckers pay. If a prem club wants any of our young players then you know they have money.

Also make sure you stick in various sell on and appearances clauses. They only need one good season at a villa or Newcastle and the big guns will want them and pay 40mil upwards.
 
Based on Cash's price - our young players are worth more than £5m a piece, more like £10m a piece. Anyway silly to sell a rising assets. Cash had 2 years regular football at Forest and that's what our young players need. The nearest equivalent is Ashley Fletcher (rated about £2m on this site o_O)
 
If he was sold to another Championship club the fee would have been a lot lower.

If you're selling to a Prem club you can ask for a lot more and why not?

He looked good but if I remember rightly Joe Lolley was the standout player.

He's a decent signing for Villa but Forest have got a good price there!
 
One of the few things the Forest fans seem happy about is the High value their executive team manage to get from outgoing players.
We certainly ended up paying top dollar for Britt.
