HOOFED on 31 January 2021: The start of something that helped look after my mental in the first lock down.

Here is the start of a daily quiz for the next 12 days.

Based on something bombero posted on another thread.

Today we all have to guess who Erimus74 will name as his best goalkeeper (number 1 in old playing positions).

Please can Erimus74 post his answer on this sometime tomorrow. I will then start a new thread for right back (number 2) etc.

I have to go with Willie Whigham.

I remember my dad saying to me this when I was a kid - "You can put a picture of Willie Whigham on the mantelpiece. That way the kids will keep a safe distance from the fire."

I am sure it is not originally from him. However it still makes me smile when I think of it.

I seem to remember Erimus saying he started going in 71/72 - if Willie overlapped that date it wouldn't have been by much

The plan is that I will keep a spreadsheet of who guesses correctly each day. With a bag of kudos to whoever gets closest to 12 out of 12.

So please get your answers in today.
 
Cardiff. Deliberate mate,just merging a bit of banter from music/no.2 to erimus thread,. Electric Eel Shock don't have a song about number1.
 
OK. We have 10 runners and riders so far. There is room for as many people as want to take part.

Erimus74 - what time tomorrow is convenient for you to announce your answer? Please can you say what time tomorrow you will announce the answer. I will then set the cut-off time for entry into this round of the quiz as 30 minutes before that time.

Of course, if people enter on a later date for a later round they will have less chance of winning. So get your answer in for day 1 as early as possible please.

I have attached a .jpg copy of a blank spreadsheet ready for the results tomorrow (assuming nobody else answers). Not allowed to attach the spreadsheet apparently.

When Erimus74 has announced his answer I will publish the first round results. Then launch the 2nd round of the competition.
