“Managed” or gradual decline

I wouldn't disagree with that. My main issue was the managed decline comment from Jedi. It surprises me from him. I don't believe for a minute that Gibson is letting the club fail bit by bit and accusing him of that isn't fair.

He may well be letting us down but it's not by design.
I concur with that. (y)
He wouldnt deliberately manage us into oblivion - he knows exactly what that means.

I’m not saying managed decline as such ( I’ve changed the wording) I’m saying the squad has for what ever reason been badly diluted over time and nothing has been done to stop the slide. It’s been a gradual Process an I do think we’d tried to fake it with cheap And loans.

Mowatt and Luongo were never going to turn it around.

Last minute deals for Onyenka & Onomah failed to materialise. I said in the summer that the transfer window would dictate our fate this season. Any team with their business done early doors would have the advantage. Squad size would play a factor also.

We came into it too late, underprepared and with a paper thin squad.

Given Scott’s (not loaded!) comments a few days back you have to wonder if the club were particularly keen to back Wilder last transfer window given they felt he’d be off sooner rather than later. If that was the case, the should have moved him on then.

Or bringing in players without the managers say so.. left us with not enough players.

I noticed you had changed the title. My issue is a simple one. Gibson didn't mean this to happen. I agree decisions have been poor and we have a needlework of bits and bobs. The squad is.... Unbalanced shall we say. The reason its unbalanced is because we let tav go.

Accuse Gibson of bad leadership, I agree.

Marcus Forss scored 7 in 39 for Brentford in the Championship and they got promoted

Matthew Hoppe scored 6 in 23 for Shalke in the Bundesliga.. I would say a higher standard than the Championship. Last season he was in La Liga

That’s some pedigree to be described as development strikers. £6m is a lot of money in the championship.

What players did Brentford have when they went up?
How is the Championship a step up from the Bundesliga?

What did Brentford & Shalke have that we haven’t?
