Great album.
Their live version of ‘I will follow’ is still an absolute stonker. Had the pleasure of watching them knock it out of the park many times.

Now - another of many reminders of how old I am

My best mate is a HUGE fan of theirs. Me, less so, but I agree that album was very good 👍

Was a big fan of their early stuff and although Bono is a bit of an arrse I kind of still like them. My favourite album is "Rattle and Hum" and it sort of marks their subsequent descent into "uptheirownarse-ery". Mind, if I stopped liking bands because their lead singer was a bit of an arrse I wouldn't have many left.

It's probably my age but when I was growing up they were way past their best, when I think of them I think of horrific rubbish like Vertigo, Beautiful Day and Elevation!

I seen the innocence tour last year in Belfast, it is up there with my top 3 gigs ever.
It was more of a show than just a gig, the visuals were outstanding.

U2 are not to everyone's taste as its become cool to dislike Bono, but for me one of the best bands ever.

I don’t think people dislike them because it’s cool to dislike Bono, I don’t really know anything about him. I dislike them because they’ve put out bland generic rock for the past 20 years. I have to admit I wasn’t a big fan of their last album getting automatically put on my iPhone either!

I've seen them twice and they are arguably the two best gigs I've ever been to. And I've been to a lot of gigs.

In truth I wasn't that big a fan until I saw them live the first time.

Spot on - they moved on and, in my view, had some shockers.
Spent 1984 going round festivals in UK and Europe. They were on most bills at that time and were just so energetic and captivating.
Ended up seeing them headline Phoenix Park that year - just imagine an Irish band with the world at their feet headlining in Dublin?
