£620

I agree. I have access to every match on TV but I go when I get the opportunity because it is a different experience. For people that can't afford it so easily though weighing up watching it on TV vs taking the family for £100 becomes a major decision when you could watch it on TV and then all go to the cinema afterwards and then McDonalds and still have £40 to spare.
I understand the issue for families of say 4 with only one income or low income - hopefully the scheme the Club run with donated unused STs can help, that other posters have mentioned.

£620 is £26.95 a game. Thats about 4 pints in town where I live.
Of course price rises suck, but tell me any commodity thats not gone up in the last year or so.
I get it, Boro’s a poor town , but what is the alternative - charge less and get even less revenue to compete?
Youve got last years relegated clubs with parachute payments plus Sheffield United. Then there are other clubs with higher gates than us - to freeze or lower prices just means we’ve less money to put in the pot and could see us slip even lower than 10th.
It’s a tricky one but I don’t think the prices are unreasonable.
This is what irks me to be honest.

The argument is always that we need to charge more to keep us competitive.

We're not competitive.

We have been in the Championship 15 or the last 16 seasons. Out of that we have finished in the playoffs three times.

There is no justification for the ticket prices. The club waste money hand over fist on poor recruitment. If we were genuinely competing every season I could get on board with the argument.

It's not just low income families. I have a pretty decent income but when deciding what to do with the family the concept of value is important and the cost of taking the family to the Riverside compared to anything else is poor. It would cost less to go for a day out at Alton towers, Legoland or a zoo and those are big once a year type things, not every other week. Live football at the Riverside is incredibly poor value.

This. I have 3 kids who want to come with me, the fourth wants to but a little young at the moment. Im the only earner in the family so no way we can afford to pay the prices. Its not just the tickets, its the food and drinks etc whilst there.
