£620

I work shifts and still bought season tickets despite working maybe 4 or 5 games a season. Ddint bother for this season. Thought if i miss it enough i might get one at Christmas but no doubt they will be vastly overpriced.
Same when i previously had one. I used to miss around 5/6. But since changing jobs and shift patterns i think it could be more like 7/8, so not worthwhile anymore with the cost especially

For 8 games sign up for the Membership scheme and gert adults ticket for £31 on your phone - £248 a season plus members fee I assume match day prices are the same this season. The Club also load you up with some Priority Points It's a bit cheaper if you pick some Cat B games (mid week games).

4 out of the 1st 6 games being televised speaks volumes with regards to renewals. SKY haven't got LUFC to rely on anymore for championship viewing figures

Most people have access to every game by hook or crook as we know, until these IPTV providers get shut down

To me watching on TV is not the same as going to a game.

I am more like a music fan who pays say £80 for ticket to a concert to listen to music they could access for peanuts at home.

I have a mixed relationship with Sky fan but TV coverage does help the Club selll advertising and sponsorship.

I think statistically we can expect almost half of our games to be moved for Sky, as an average.
So 3 out of 6 is about right (wrong).

I agree. I have access to every match on TV but I go when I get the opportunity because it is a different experience. For people that can't afford it so easily though weighing up watching it on TV vs taking the family for £100 becomes a major decision when you could watch it on TV and then all go to the cinema afterwards and then McDonalds and still have £40 to spare.

So we are more expensive than Sunderland who are in the PL..no justification for it.
I dont have a problem being more expensive than sunderland this season as they have money to burn now and can subside cheaper tickets, i do have a problem that we are more expensive than just about every other championship club and we're a lot more expensive than sunderland when we were both in the championship

That's what it boils down to for me.

Nobody can answer why we are more expensive than similar clubs in our league.

We sell our best players every window and still have just about the highest prices in the league.

That's fine, but I also have a problem that they can watch PL football cheaper than we can watch championship football.

They were sold the season just gone, they haven’t been scrapped in case those pesky part timers get hold of the early bird pricing.
You really think you know it all. The reason given in the end was the entitlement to early bird costing the club.

No I don’t but im still not sure what this thread is showing me?

£620 is £26.95 a game. Thats about 4 pints in town where I live.
Of course price rises suck, but tell me any commodity thats not gone up in the last year or so.
I get it, Boro’s a poor town , but what is the alternative - charge less and get even less revenue to compete?
Youve got last years relegated clubs with parachute payments plus Sheffield United. Then there are other clubs with higher gates than us - to freeze or lower prices just means we’ve less money to put in the pot and could see us slip even lower than 10th.
It’s a tricky one but I don’t think the prices are unreasonable.
