£150 Council tax rebate, property A-D anyone had it yet?

Redcar & Cleveland have deducted it from this year's bill which makes more sense to me - everyone gets it then.
They havent deducted it from mine either. Just says it will be credited to my bank account. When I asked when I was told later in the year.

I expected to see it being netted off our demand, but saw no reference despite being eligible. Replies above clarify for me now(y). I assume that the last minute nature of it made it impossible to do as I expected, but this way seems more onerous for local authorities. Does it also mean that the government have to reimburse local authorities with an additional grant to cover this?

Agreed.

I'm loving living up here in Northumberland but the council tax is massive!
Here in Hartlepool, they are using the discretionary award to pay band E.
I will be thankful for it but hope that they haven’t wasted it on these for ease and are missing the most at risk. Like those in HMO’s.
The LA that I work for (like above) have been advised by central government to wait for first DD’s to be collected before paying. those not paying by DD, have to apply via an online portal. As further checks are required.

There won't be any profit made from it, its interest free and will cost £3.33 a month
For example, with of my daughter’s move out after I received the 200. They would never have received it but they would have to pay it on their new home. Across the country this will add up

I don't think it will work like that, it will go to whoever has the energy account.

From Martin Lewis
There is no personal loan to an individual. This isn't about, you borrowed money, you pay it back. So if you're living at home with parents and you move out in two years' time, even though you didn't get the £200, your bill will still be £40 higher – every household will be charged £40 more. You'll simply get your energy bill and it will be higher because of this levy and the one this October will be lower.
