£12 billion and counting

Not a lot we can do, even when highlighted they dont give a monkeys.

I did think that Parliament could investigate and hold them accountable, but it looks like they can do as they wish. We will pay for it.
The country will be that poor when this lot have finished raping the country we will have to flog the NHS to pay off debt.

Yup. So the best thing we can do, in order to respond in kind, is not to follow their arbitrary rules passed by decree.

Parliament has abdicated its responsibility as demonstrated by the Brady amendment swizz last week.

It's absolutely ridiculous

I'm sure there must be a group of people from IT backgrounds that could have worked on this for a fraction of the costs.

But I suppose the "right" people wouldn't have been able to like their pockets.

Covid has made a lot of wealthy people extremely weathly whilst the lockdowns have destroyed the working man and it appears a lot of people are just accepting of it.

The NHS will be sold off piece by piece - remember Corbyn told everyone what they were going to do but too many people were busy shouting terrorist

Germany's system, which works, was done for a fraction of the cost. I understand the Irish app (not the whole system mind but still) only cost €700000 to develop. We are being robbed blind here. The public purse is being raped to feather the nests of Tories and their chums. Its a crime of the worst kind, given its being committed against 66million people.

I get so angry because I feel so helpless. What can be done to save the country? What state will we be in 4 years ? The way they are going they'll probably rig it so we can't even vote out the thriving, lying charlatans then. Its all very Germany late 30s feeling at the moment

You chaps realise this has been going on for at least 2 decades?

Centuries more like, however as bad as any of it is, the scale is very important. The current government have broke the scales and will contract the replacement of those scales to a private company with links to a Tory MP without tender for many £billions.

The are laughing at us and are not even trying to hide it anymore.

As a software developer, I have no idea how you can spend £12bn on something like this - especially when there are open source solutions out there (I believe this is what Germany are using) and have been for a while. Boggles the mind.

No it was Blair. The Tories are just continuing Blair's path.

Mad when you think back to March and South Korea had one sorted in what felt like a couple of days.
Yeah but they are a significantly more tech savvy nation than us. Don't think we can really prepare. We never really understood the importance of connectivity in the modern world in this country. The Koreans spotted it

You're clearly a software developer and not someone married to a Tory MP. They can find a way

Funny isn't it. When it happened in Malaysia with all that construction in KL going to the prime ministers brothers company I thought it should they were a bit backwards.

When hundreds of unnecessary Billions was spent on infrastructure in Sochi because its Putinshome town I thought "well, typical Russia.

Now its happening here on a grand scale I'm shocked.
