Apologies for not having read all of this thread but what I can't understand is why Dr's don't prescribe blood thinners as a matter of course for blokes 40+?
I had a stroke aged 55, was prescribed blood thinners (and others) and I still here at 72.

Apart from a couple of times, couldn't hear what the South stand were singing but could hear the drum. I sit in the West Stand level the edge of the penalty area at the North Stand area.
I have a spare ticket for today's game in the West Upper. I'm coming to the game on my own - my wife is doing so stuff around Easter back home.
I normally arrive around 1.30pm. If you want the ticket it's free.
If there's nothing wrong with the kitchen then don't bother changing it. Save a load of money that can pay for a nice holiday or treat your kids/grandkids, or both.
I saw the Palatine several times as a train spotter when I lived in Matlock when I was a kid.
It was replaced by a diesel with a yellow strip along the sides, if I recall correctly, before the lines were ripped up north of Darley Dale as part of the Beechin cuts.
