    England win Euros/Boro get promoted

Very good. But it is minority position, but one that is overrepresented among online and match going Liverpool supporters.

    England win Euros/Boro get promoted

The Scouse not English business is overblown by a minority of Liverpool fans. The majority of people are perfectly happy to identify as English (and by extension support the national team). But don't take my word for it - here is a political scientist and lecturer at the University of Liverpool...

    England win Euros/Boro get promoted

Being from the North West I'd have to take issue with this. But obviously our experience differs.

    England win Euros/Boro get promoted

England for me. Love that everyone gets involved, fans of different clubs coming together and non-football fans too. England doing well is one of the few things that unites the country. I've seen Boro get promoted, I've seen them win a cup. They get a go at promotion every year and...

    Cole Palmer or Phil Foden?

Exactly. I'm a Southgate apologist. But even I see that he isn't a top level manager (v few are at international level any more). His major flaw (among a few) is not being able to change a game from the bench. Having that level of quality to draw upon may mitigate against that.

    Mrs Vacuous Strikes Again

It does show you how money infects politics. Her ideas have been massively discredited in theory and in practice. Yet, because a darkly funded think tank and three billionaire-owned newspapers are as deluded as her, she is given publicity.

    Cole Palmer or Phil Foden?

Apart from when someone decides to counter attack. We can criticise Southgate's loyalty to certain players - but Mbappé and Griezmann would be kicking their chops with the space they'd get. And Pedri and Rodri would pass Rice to death.

Appearances totals of key players in 23-24, why we missed out.

There have been so many games where we've run out of puff/ideas and not been able to turn to the bench. There have also been examples- like Millwall away - where we had a strong bench that got us the win. Also, it's clear Carrick is a 'runs' type manager. We've been at our best under him when...

Michael Carrick post match interview Vs Ipswich

Things that have got us on this good run: 1) Carrick being more tactically flexible against 'lesser' opponents - switching to three at the back and giving us a solid base. 2) Players coming back from injury. Clarke getting up to speed has been great. Jones giving us some pace too. 3) New...

    Our Home strip?

Can't abide those sleeves that went beyond the elbows and that collar. The worst of the 70s meets the worst of the nineties - in 2004!

    Our Home strip?

I think 09/10 was our worst home strip. 04/05 not far behind.

Iran launches military drones at Israel

Biden has said he won't support any retaliation and Israel needed US, UK, Jordanian and Saudi help this time. Iran's missiles and drones are changing the equation for Israel, they may have to behave to maintain their own security via allies' support.

Iran launches military drones at Israel

By saying other you imply they are one. If you'd not said other you'd have made a distinction. "Crocodiles and other reptiles" "Lions and reptiles"

Don't want to be too pedantic, but Iran isn't an Arab nation.

    * The Unofficial "Official" Boro v Ipswich [04/24] Match-Day thread *

Yes. Shows how well a settled side can play. Ideally we don't forfeit 1/3rd of the season on August and February next year!

Kieran Scott’s recruitment really coming to fruition now

How much did we get for Crooks?

Kieran Scott’s recruitment really coming to fruition now

It's one where £6m would have been really well spent. Ideally with the Rogers money and FFP headroom we can afford to spend that the right player this summer.
