This is a very hard thread to write

Hope you recover soon. All the best

    Morgan Rogers

I’ve been surprised that he us getting regular starts but he’s proving himself capable at that level so fair play to him. He’s gained a lot of confidence from his time at Boro and taken that to the prem. I’m sure both him and Villa will be pretty pleased with how the transfer had worked out thus...

    Ayling

Wouldn’t be totally surprising if both mcgree (especially) and forss left if they are pushing for moves. Obviously dependant on us getting a fee we deem as acceptable and having replacements lined up (easier said than done).

    Ayling

He’s on a decent contract at Leeds. He’s probably after a two minimum or three year contract if he’s gonna drop his wages significantly. He’s a good option if willing to do that or if recruitment can’t find a younger player for a good price

    Unbeaten in Six

You’d have to make Norwich favorites for sixth place followed by Coventry. However if we can win a few on the bounce (tough with our fixtures), it keeps the season alive that little bit longer!

    This DPD assault

Probably 99% of sikhs have the second name 'singh', Doesn't mean they are all related!

Hanging my boots up after 44 years

When I read the thread title, I thought you were literally hanging up your playing boots and thought it was a good stint. I packed in playing in my late 40s. Anyhow enjoy your retirement!

    Could Ipswich win the championship

They keep surprising everyone Ipswich. Story of the season. We all expected them to fall away from the automatic places by now but they are still there holding there own. Whose to say that won't be the case come the end of the season. You look at their squad and wonder how they keep doing it...

    Ben White

He's been great for Arsenal this season, so obviously a top player, but doesn't like the current england environment. That's his decision and you've got to respect it. Doesn't devalue his worth as a player or what he could offer England if he changes his mind.

Fry, Hackney, Coburn and Bangura nearing return from injury

I guess it's still the one game at a time mantra until it is definitely over. Our home form has been so bad that we can't take anything for granted against Blackburn. We have four very hard away games to finish the season (Southampton, Hull, Cardiff and Ipswich). We'd probably need to win two of...

    Ajax vs Aston Villa

If things stay the same, I doubt very much Akpom will be at Ajax next season. Probably a mid to lower end prem club might take a chance on him or midtable french or german side. He needs to be playing at his age. Hopefully he will have learned a lesson before choosing his next club.

    McGree’s transfer request?

I know we are not overly great atm, but I doubt Mcgree or Forss would go to a club that has a lot more potential than Boro. Different situation for Hackney, RVB and possibly Coburn (in the future).

    * The Boro Breakdown Podcast: "A CHAT WITH MATT CROOKS" [V-01:25:28] *

He'd have to be a helluva lot more disciplined to play central midfield. Obviously got a good physical presence and can see a pass but would have to improve his all round game and when to lunge into a tackle obviously!

    Kieran Scott - leaving?

I'd be interested to know how much of a role Carrick plays in the recruiting process. He seems outwardly to accept any new player coming in and seems on board with the current set up. However it's clearly a big summer coming up and I wonder if Carrick has said something privately about...

    Cole Palmer or Phil Foden?

Probably a better finisher too. Both great to watch. Just glide with the ball.

Manchester City - the double treble

Arsenal looking good atm. All to play for. City still likely to concede goals which gives other teams hope. I actually think they are most likely to win the champions league again than either the premier league or FA cup. March and early April will probably decide things. How sad we have to...

    Brendan Galloway

Was he really at MK Dons in 2011? If he is 27, that was 13 years ago, making him a 14 or 15 year old. Can't remember him being a teen superstar?? His appearance record prior to Plymouth is dreadful.

    The end?

I guess with all this - you need to see an endgame the sooner the better. I think most people won't want this conflict going into another winter - mainly for the sake of lost lives. It seems Russia/Putin is willing to keep sacrificing soldiers until the battle is won/or a large win can be...

    Brentford?

As with all the teams that are aiming to survive, all it takes is a bit of a loss of form, lose a few key players especially up front (Toney and Mbeumo) and a few more injuries, and you are bound to struggle. For a lot of premier league teams, you are never far away from a relegation struggle...

Who are we all wanting to see replaced in the summer?

We are not really 'signing' him on what he did for Bristol Rovers in league one. It's based on what he did for us this year and his brief appearances the year before last. Not sure how another loan will really benefit him, when he could be doing a decent job for us. Maybe not first choice, but...
