    * The Unofficial "Official" Boro v Sheffield Wednesday [04/24] Match-Day Thread *

    I'm surprised no-one has mentioned Howson on this thread. Okay, he wasn't up against much but he absolutely cruised through the game and looked like he could play centre half for another couple of seasons at least, no problem. Thomas had by far his best game for us, which isn't saying much, but...

    He looks like he's in a right fluffery-buffery.

    * The Unofficial “Official” Boro v Norwich [03/24] Match-Day Thread *

    The Norwich player knew exactly what he'd done and knew he ws getting a red, which was why he laid on the floor for 30 seconds pretending to be injured with the ref standing over him. It was petulant rather than violent, but it was a definite kick out and deserved red.

    Strachanesque crowd in the north stand tonight

    * The Unofficial “Official” Boro v Stoke [03/24] Match-Day Thread *

    Don't understand playing the two on loan full backs. Not only do we need to be building for next season with our own players, they both had total Keith O' Hallorans last Saturday.

    Malcolm Christie

    Listening to his interview with Mark Drury on Tees this week, it occured to me how good it would be if the club could have had medals struck for those that played a part in the run but weren't in the matchday squad and presented them tonight. That they didn't even bother to invite those players...

    Song's you had no idea are a cover

    Most of Blondie's hits were covers.

    Viktor Gyokeres

    I was amazed no-one took a punt the summer before. In the Wilder season Kane and Lukaku both played here but Gyokeres' performance was by miles the best we saw from a centre forward that year. He stood out a mile.

    Carling Cup Celebration 29th Feb at Boro Town Hall

    They were talking about recording BBC Tees's own anniversary programme - nothing to do with the Town Hall event.

    First ever Middlesbrough game

    Same season, FA Cup 3rd round defeat to Preston. Stood at the front of the Clive Road side of the Holgate and couldn't see a thing.

    No, I think that's me.

    Defending for their goal

    Engel was attacking and had just whipped in a decent cross. The breakaway came from the other full back naively getting sucked in towards Clarke, who rinsed him with a smart one-two and was away. If Ayling doesn't sell himself the attack doesn't happen. Needless to say, Glover should've saved it.

    * The Unofficial “Official” Chelsea v Boro - Carabao Cup SF [2nd leg] Match-Night Thread *

    Can't believe people claiming we're 4-0 down because Chelsea are 'a billion pound team.' We're 4-0 down because we haven't turned up. Chelsea haven't got out of first gear. They haven't had to.

    Carling Cup Final. A 20 Year Celebration!

    It would be nice if the club invited his family to be part of it.

    Terrific pass through Millwall's front line by Glover to start the move leading to our goal.

    Calvert Lewin red card

    Not only was it not a red, nor even a foul, it wasn't even a tackle. He lifted his foot over the ball to hook it back with absolutely no force or momentum. It wouldn't have broke Clyne's leg even if it was made of glass.
