Carrick was massively at fault today. He played exactly the same today as he did against Bristol City and expected different result. He needs to be pragmatic.

The reason we won't make the playoffs is cause when we do create chances we don't have a lot of natural finishers (Forss is okay). I don't think we are that different from last season in terms of chances created but we were unbelievably clinical last season.

I don't think any of our players really dealt well with the Chelsea press. Engel, Clarke etc. There is such a gulf in class between the PL and championship that to think we would get away with making errors playing out from the back again like we did in the first game was highly unlikely...
