    Has anyone

lost live audio coverage? Mine just seems to revert to the same 30 seconds of commentary. I didn't hear the second goal at all.

Last couple of games the BBC Tees coverage has dropped out. Same today, then Hartlepool coverage came on. Anyone else had/having similar experience?

    RIP Tony Clarkin

I was never the biggest Magnum fan, but I saw them a few times and they were good live. Clarkin was a very good guitarist and songwriter. I think they've just finished recording their latest album. RIP

    Geddy Lee's autobiography

I expected it to be a well written and intelligent read, but I've been blown away by the depth of emotion in it. His section about taking his mother to revisit Bergen Belsen and the memory it invokes in her was astonishing. I still don't think I'm willing to pay 90 quid to hear him read it out...

    RIP Hayden Gwynne

It seems the only threads I start these days are RIP ones. I worked with Haydn on "Women on the Verge..." She was absolutely lovely to work with. RIP indeed.

    RIP Rudolph Isley

One of the world's finest voices in a band that taught me how to listen to music. Very sad.

    Weekend Music Thread

Not being in a position to recommend beer I'll put on half of WeeGord's hat and start with a track by the band I'm going to see tomorrow. One of my favourite live acts over the past few years.

    My film recommendation for tonight

If you enjoy a family drama, a superhero film, an action movie and even a musical let me point you in the direction of "RRR" on Netflix. This has been on my "should watch" list for months and I finally managed it the other night. It is magnificent in the scale of its bonkersness, style and...

What's the greatest thing you've ever done?

Inspired by 1finny's entry on the "the greatest" thread I wondered what is the greatest thing I've ever done. The thing that still makes me smile the most was bumping into two Japanese tourists in a pub in London who were having trouble understanding the menu, inviting them to join us (me and a...

Hello mate, would you mind if I picked your brain briefly regarding a bit of Asian Cinema? I was chatting to a mate today and we both couldn't remember the name of a film we both remember seeing. Or at least we remember bits of it. Couldn't remember if it's Japanese or Korean, though its...
