Looks like things may be about to kick off in the Midle East again.

I know you aren't really that stupid to think that's what I meant but perhaps you are if you believe Iran only wants nuclear weapons as a deterrent.

And considering their desire to wipe Israel of the face of the earth it also seems reasonable to want to prevent them.

Does anyone know where I can get free legal advice without committing myself

You could also try the North East Law Centre https://www.nelawcentre.co.uk/ Both Northumberland & Sunderland Universities have student law offices where they give legal support under direction of the tutors but I would imagine these may be shut for exams/holidays now.

Try calling your local citizens advice, they can often offer a free half hour consultation with a solicitor.

Plans to extend free school meals

Though it will undoubtably be of benefit to the children and their families, it won't have any affect on the child poverty figures because they are based on household income. Despite the families having £500 a year more to spend they will not be receiving any extra income so will still be...

How old are they? It's recommended that wired smoke alarms should be replaced every ten years.

Lyke Wake Walk - 70 years old

Did it a few times as a teenager raising money for Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team. Our Geography teacher Mr Finch was a member then & I see he's still going strong with them now at the age of 80.

    SABIC Olefins 6

You seem to think this is some sort of tory/labour thing. Both have operated idiotic enegy policy which has resulted in high energy costs.

    SABIC Olefins 6

Average household bill when Labour came to power £1568, average household bill 10 months later £1849. He's not made a great start. He now needs to reduce bills by £581 to meet his pledge. The previous policies are the cause of this and the current policies will just make it worse. It'll take...

    SABIC Olefins 6

My use of the word "further" in my original post shows that I believe massive damage had already been done by the previous policy. The idiotic dash to a net zero grid by 2030 & the refusal to allow exploitation of our own resources will make matters worse. When will we be getting the £300 pound...

This government increased them & extended them. Their energy policy will do further massive damage to this country.

    Blackout across Spain and Portgual

So unreliable that the article had go back 23 years to find an example and even then the power loss was localised & power restored in 30 minutes. Faults on components are expected & happen all the time which is why fault protection and redundancy is built in. What shouldn't happen is complete...

    Blackout across Spain and Portgual

Can you explain to us what this frequency synchronisation problem could possibly have been. While you are on at it can you explain the role inertia plays in frequency stability of a network under varying load conditions.

    British Steel to be nationalised?

It's how the current crop of renewables will be priced for the next 12 years at least. ROCs will not end until 2037 & CfD contracts last 15 years from the start of production. Ignoring the fact that most people are interested in the price they have to pay, that's a strange claim when you don't...

    British Steel to be nationalised?

Have you read the report? "In each half-hour trading period, each electricity generator bids the price it will accept to generate electricity, according to how expensive the electricity is to produce." This is not true for renewables, they bid in low to ensure all the available capacity is...
