    Stock market

Yes, it is invested in various worldwide companies. But I think some of it must be invested in themselves as well because every time their shares go up my pension does. But in saying that if their investments have done well, their shares would probably go up anyway.

    Stock market

My pension value actually increased slightly yesterday, first time in weeks. Not sure if that’s because the market might be improving or because Aviva shares are doing well. I am just glad it has dropped dropping.

    Stock market

I am 10 years until retirement, but I have it in draw down and withdraw bits when I need it, but I don't have any plans to withdraw any large amounts in the near future.

    Stock market

My pension value has dropped quite a lot over the last couple of weeks and is still dropping, I am on risk level four with Aviva. Do you think I should do something about it or sit it out and hope things settle down and hope it goes back up. I am assuming this is all down to trump. I think it...

🐙Cut your energy bills nearly in half with Octopus Tracker

You might be below the cap rate, but you are above the fixed rates that have been about 20.5p for ages now. Home Energy are currently 19.2p. You could possibly save even more with Tomato Lifestyle. When comparing prices it is best not to compare to the price cap, you need to compare to the...

You shouldn’t be comparing your prices to the cap because you are probably not daft enough to pay the price cap anyway. You need to compare your prices to the best deals about. Unless I am wrong, and there aren’t good prices for gas about like there is for electricity with Tomato ect. I don’t...

    That wind

My towels dried in no time. If my rotary washing line was connected to the national grid I could have made a fortune.

Totally agree, in your situation it is definitely best to stay where you are. But you know a hell of a lot about the market and know what you are doing so you can make the right decision by yourself. I don't think there is any body on here who could give you any help as you are probably the most...

🐙Cut your energy bills nearly in half with Octopus Tracker

Yes Bulb springs to mind. Suppliers need to be responsible on their pricing and how many customers they take on. I hope Tomato are doing this as i have just moved to them. But you can see the point i am making. We are never realistically going to get to a point where everyone is changing to the...

I know what you mean, but if we all did that there would be no competition and prices will be sky high. Not all other suppliers are poor, I’ve used quite a few suppliers over the years and they have all been pretty decent except for npower. I had a terrible experience with N power as well, it...

🐙Cut your energy bills nearly in half with Octopus Tracker

Two things to think about when deciding whether come off Tracker. You need to compare against the cheapest fixed tariffs not the cap rate. If you stay loyal to your current supplier just because you like them even though they are not the cheapest it will stifle competition. If we all change to...

That’s a very good deal, especially when you take into account the low standing charge. I joined them on them 16th of December. The myWatts thing still isn’t working, but I’m not too bothered as I can still see my usage on my IHD. I don’t get my first bill until the 10th of February, will be...

I am all electric with a heat pump as well, the lifestyle pensioner tariff works best for me, it should work out to about 17-18p per kWh plus 47p standing charge. I can’t see the December 24 tracker beating that, It probably won’t even come close when you take into account the high standing...

🐙Cut your energy bills nearly in half with Octopus Tracker

December 2024 Tracker is 39.63p tomorrow. I would join Tomato asap before their prices go up. Take a look at their lifestyle tariffs, they are excellent. Their fixed rates are the cheapest on the market, unfortunately they don’t do gas. Their lifestyle tariff can save you a lot of money if there...

    M & S, Teesside Park

I think i will take a chance and give it a go. I want to go to Barker & Stonehouse first, it is usually easier to get into that part of the park, but i still have to go to M & S and Morrisons afterwards.
