I did for 30 years in Thames Valley Police. Interesting and varied career. Made many life long friends, others, I wouldn’t cross the road to say hello to! Never in a million years did I imagine as a teenager, I would join the police but enjoyed the vast majority of my service.

That was a guy I worked with who proposed at the Riverside. He’s from guisborough but moved down south. They got married, had a couple of kids and separated 3 years ago!

Had a short break in my late 20’s but couldn’t do without a bike. Have the 2 now, though not a year round rider these days. Difficult to beat the feeling on a nice clear day.

Last saw him a couple of years ago at the Northern Kin festival. Lived not from from me in North Bucks. Played the local village hall in Winslow regular in front of a couple of hundred people. Great blues man. RIP.

It was chaos coming in this morning. It’s been well run the last 2 years and apart from wetter condition, not sure why it’s so bad this weekend.

That’s true. Looking forward to seeing The Sweet tonight as well. Only Andy Connelly left. One it those bands when you see them live, you realise what great songs they made. Maybe not all great but great live in concert.

Main stage on Sunday is quality.

Also seeing them at Northern Kin this weekend. Place is a sodden mess but great line up over the 3 days.

Last time I went mate, The Royal Oak, Holyhead road was rammed with Boro. About a 5 minute walk from the ground. Lots of cheap parking between the pub and ground for a few quid, just of Holyhead road. Parkings a couple of minutes away when you come out of the away end. 👍
