Daft Geordies and the “Mickey Mouse” cup.

They're saying they're giving the freedom of Newcastle to Eddie Howe. Gibson had to save us from extinction, build a new stadium, get us to prem a couple of times, win a cup and get us in to europe. So easy for Howe ;)

    Azaz Vs Juninho

I tried not to remember the others 'cos they were so bad. Stamp was a supremely average footballer.

    Azaz Vs Juninho

He also had the likes of Stamp and Freestone as team mates, in the Prem, I mean they wouldn't even get in this team in the Championship.

    Russia/Ukraine

This does all smell like a way for Trump to 'make America rich again'. Back out of this war, leave it to Europe, back out of NATO, become isolationist.

Carrick has some really tough " knock on " decisions to make ..

5 at the back with wingbacks for me. Get the best out of Giles and Dijksteel.

    Bitcoin News Thread

I'm on the fence on crypto/bitcoin. Have held some alt coins for about 6 years. But I would tend to disagree with this sentiment: Which is why they turn to Bitcoin. An asset that can not be devalued by corrupt governments or central banks. They can not stop it or control it, so they can not...

    Shout out to Travers

Thought he looked a much better shot stopper than any of our 17 GKs this season. Was very unlucky to concede two jammy goals. He'll get better.

Commentator is 100% sunderland. A follow through on Belligham... well yeah he got the ball, then 30 seconds later Bellingham ran in to him and dived. Follow through I guess.

The head on a pint of beer/lager

I do prefer the Dutch measurements for beers. It's easier to have a head that lasts til the end when you unshackle yourself from the weird fixation on pints of liquid. Having a schooner or just a small glass (even a 2/3rd pint) = longer lasting head, doesn't go flat, doesn't get warm.

    The Last of the Mohicans

Kevin Costner classic, Dances With Wolves, is set in the 1860s during the American civil war. Mohicans, also a classic though sadly not starring Kevin Costner, is set approx 100 years earlier when the Brits and the French are still pillaging around. Both must-watches if on the tele.

    * The Unofficial "Official" Middlesbrough v Luton Town [11/24] Match-Day Thread *

Great result, especially after the first 20 mins or so which was scrappy as hell. Can't agree with some of the ref comments here - he was shockingly bad in the first half, constantly letting Luton get away with petty fouls. But hey, we won so we can let him off this time. Azaz and Doak were...
