I agree. They were clearly trying to draw the press and looked confused when that didn’t come. Effectively make the whole tactic of playing it out absolutley useless if there is no press to play through.

So that is basically aaying because Hackney is the same person he hasn’t improved in 2 years. He clearly has, he is a much more polished player these days for me.

Hackney is a much better player than he was 2 years ago though. We still have Howson (though he is injured) and he probably hasn’t gotten much worse in those 2 years. Morris I think is a really good player. I would say that makes us stronger in that area.

There are some decent players around who are free agents. If we can get more than we paid for Crooks at 30 year old and bring in someone like Anwar El Ghazi for free then I would take that. It would also likely give Crooks a nice payday and a few years in the sun before he retires.
