    Championship Manager 0102

Not only is 01/02 the perfect balance regarding being in depth enough for us geeks to enjoy whilst still being able to blast through a season quickly, in the original incarnation Boro are seriously overpowered. Southgate, Ehiogu, Ince, Gordon, Ricard, Boksic are all insanely good and even...

We aren’t far away from getting this right

Off topic but its a great point. Not only the kids in academies, but The kids in grassroots, especially the top end here on Teesside, now have access to some unbelievable external training from some great coaching companies and individuals.

We aren’t far away from getting this right

or you play a higher line and compact the space...... which we can't do as our CB's are slow and have the turning circle of oil tankers.

We aren’t far away from getting this right

That's the one thing we so desperately miss, id say even more than his goals, from chuba leaving, and the main reason the GK/defence especially are being exposed when playing out. That 30/40 yard clip into chuba for him to hold the ball and play a pass off to beat the press. When we try that...

    Football Manager 2025 DELAYED!

I'd rather they wait and get it right.

    Spotless defending…

That is a damning statistic. Like the one about Dijksteel not picking up a booking across a full season a while back (or something like that) Although how the Jawdee's haven't given away a pen the way Linton and Bruno tackle needs investigating!!!!

    Three at the back.

Three at the back pretty much guarantees Edmundson plays every game - NO THANK YOU

    This will be unpopular, but...

I somewhat agree, they certainly look the best in the division I've seen live with the ball. But it's no exaggeration to say we should have been 3 up before they laid a glove on us. Forss has missed tow absolute sitters. They go in and it SHOULD be a completely different game. Plus they won't...

    Genuinely think he needs sacking

The errors for the goals last night, or not taking our chances were not structural issues with shape, or formations or style of play. It was Burgzorg being a PHANNY for the first Sunderland goal, Morris and ayling unable to control a football for the second, or us missing gilt edge chances with...

    Genuinely think he needs sacking

Does a new manager get more out of the players available? That's the pertinent question. I don't think Ayling/ Edmundson suddenly perform under a new gaffer. OR Morris/Burgzorg win the tackles they should have to stop the goals we conceded last night and games gone by. I'm not happy with how...

    Forss

Forss is one those player's that has got better and better every game he didn't play!
  14. MickaelDebevePhenomenal

    Forss

He is not a number 9, certainly not in Carricks system. Would play better up top in a traditional 4-4-2 He has undoubted quality in the box, good movement and good finishing (usually), however he offers very little outside of this, and often looks like a fish up a tree. It's why Carrick played...

    Tactical change...

I wouldn't change anything formation wise, we've got the players to play 4231, but I'd drop Edmundson straight away. What I would do is hammer home on the training pitch about attitude and commitment regarding keeping the frigger out the back of our net. I'd also spend the majority of our...

You can change one thing at the club - what would it be?

The defence. Ayling and Edmundson are nowhere near. We will struggle to win games with those two in our defence. We will need to score 3 and 4 goals a game, every game, to win. Add in Rav is still very young and struggling to find is best form with all the uncertainty around him, and a left...

Are you worried about our form?

It's not our form I'm worried about. It is the wholly predictable manner in which we drop points in the games we have lost/drawn that deeply concerns me. They are fundamental issues with player attitude and capability.

    Recruitment-Scott

Every recruitment model, especially when buying unproven players is going to have misses. We've just got to have enough lathes and Rodgers to balance out the Engles and Borges. On an individual basis id say criticism of Hamilton and Conway is harsh, far too early in his career to judge...

    Recruitment-Scott

His buying of individuals has been by and large excellent. His squad building has been poor. There has been gaping wholes at RB and CM that remain. The quality at CB remains poor, and now light on numbers. The left back recruitment has been a struggle, with costly mistakes made.
  20. MickaelDebevePhenomenal

    Our centre backs

He is streets ahead of Edmundson. He has been at fault for a goal in pretty much every match he has played. And ayling has fallen off a cliff, his mistakes now are getting worse every week. Basic, basic things like controlling the ball, body shape etc.
