Its a daft point but it could be argued he only got to where he is because of his dad, he wasn't good enough to be a Man Utd player (Roy Keane has sadi a lot about the issue before) and his dad loaned him players to help him out.

A like for like change has a good chance of not being effective if it is the tactics/formation which needs tweaking, this is something not factored in and MC very rarely makes these changes early enough in games slipping away, if at all.
