Error message when trying to post a reply

I keep getting the same error message trying to reply to a post in the Trump invading Greenland thread. Neither the post I'm replying to, nor my response has any emojis in them and I'm pretty sure I don't have any other threads open - I've even restarted my device (more than once) to ensure that.

    Ah, OK.

    HMPV virus

It's one of several seasonal respiratory viruses that various people get every year and based on the symptoms, most people that have had this in the past would almost certainly just have put it down to having a cold (or possibly flu if the symptoms were a little more severe).

    HMPV virus

The more I read about this, the less scary it sounds. I was wrong about it being around since 2001 - that's when it was first identified and named but it's existed for much longer and the overwhelming majority of us will have already had it (possibly multiple times). Human metapneumovirus -...

    Terrorist attack in Germany

However that was not the point under discussion in @1finny's post. The point under discussion was @atypical_boro's claim that the majority of terrorist attacks in the last two decades or so in Western Europe were islamist attacks. That bold (and baldly stated) claim is incorrect, as far as the...

    HMPV virus

It is not a new virus - it's been around since 2001, seasonal surges are typical and it's not anything to be particularly concerned about. HMPV in China

Can some one explain the 2 lines???

I would have said you see it relatively frequently, on perhaps 50% of the occasions when the attacking team tries to put players too close to the defensive wall.

    Appalling referee again tonight

No, there's nothing in the laws that says (or even implies) that. Law 15 simply says that the ball is to be thrown in, "from the point where it left the field of play." Most referees will be OK with a throw that's a yard or two away from where it went out but once you get appreciably beyond...

Tactical delay by their goalkeeper? "Calls a timeout" so they can get new tactical instructions.

I don't think so - pretty sure he just flagged for the goal kick.

    The end?

Trump is not on good terms with Kim Jong Un. He wanted to be, during his first term in office, but Kim utterly played Trump, getting the PR coup of being the first North Korean leader ever to meet a US president by pretending to listen to US requests to abandon his country's nuclear programme...

    Terrorist attack in Germany

Are you sure? I couldn't find figures for the whole of the last twenty years but the stats on the site below show that between 2010 and 2021, the majority of terrorist attacks in Europe were ethno-nationalist and separatist in nature, not jihadist. Terrorism in the EU: facts and figures

    Terrorist attack in Germany

There's no evidence of that. He was apparently posting anti-German diatribes recently and threatening to kill Germans so maybe he thought this was the best place to find them.

No, an atheist apparently. And anti-islam, to boot.

Those who still want the death penalty

Your first statement is true. The second, not so much. The threshold for a guilty verdict is always "beyond a reasonable doubt," regardless of what sentence is being pursued. beyond a reasonable doubt I think what you're referring to, is that when it comes to the sentencing phase, the...
