This board is now unusable on my iPad or phone: Virgin adverts pop up after a few seconds every time and I cannot close it 😡😡

    Chelsea stormed the Holgate

Thanks. Just trying to remember some games I went to in the early 80s and that was one of the things I recall.

    Chelsea stormed the Holgate

Yes, it was at the end of the match in the 80s. They left the away corner early and came in when the gates were opened to let people out. People around me were all panicking saying they are coming into the South Stand.

    Chelsea stormed the Holgate

It wasn’t then as I wasn’t at that match. It was one in the early 80s

    Chelsea stormed the Holgate

Can anyone remember if it was 82 or 84 when Chelsea fans stormed into the back of the Holgate? I was in the Chicken run and remember the Holgate parted in all directions when they came in at the back up the steps.

    Je suis content

One of the most sensible posts on here for many a month. Having seen 6 promotions and 7 relegations this season is by far the most entertaining at both ends of the pitch.

    Riverside Seats

This is my recollection. Didn’t know anyone who voted Riverside but know many who voted Erimus. Judging by comments on here most posters voted Erimus or knew people who did. Do remember the name unveiling at Pearsey’s testimonial and there were lots of boos around me when the name was...

    Riverside Seats

Would disagree. Why were the images all in blue and not red if they were always to be red. Makes no sense to release digital images to the press and for use on TV etc. with blue seats if this was not being seriously considered by the club. My vague recollections are that the initial response...

    Riverside Seats

Am I correct in recalling that the club's original intention was to install blue seats when the Riverside stadium was designed? Also that the name that won the ballot was "Erimus Stadium", not Riverside Stadium, and that the ballot name was fixed ?

    The Jam reunion

The Jam and The Who were two of the best bands ever, in my opinion. However age has caught up with them all now so better them being remembered as was rather than now being past it.

    Labour's October Budget

You are welcome. Love the inverted commas, Are they meant to signify anything in particular ? Been looking at the FMTTM website for circa 20 years after initially buying FMTTM in the late 80's and never felt like posting, just been happy reading . Obviously getting old now and grumpy. but do...

Freddie Flintoff's Field of Dreams On Tour

Watched the first series which was excellent, his interaction and understanding with the kids, many of which had various problems was brilliant. Came across as a decent fella. All the more so since the India trip was when he was recovering from his Top Gear accident and he could easily and...

    Labour's October Budget

Tories were originally planning on bringing in an extra 100% Council tax on second homes in April 25 before the election, or is this something different

    Labour's October Budget

Presume you don’t have any form of private pension, and if you do you won’t take any of it as it’s based upon your premise and would make you a Leech.

    Labour's October Budget

Yes, earned in the most corrupt place on the plant, however not inherited which is what people state. If he earned it why is he privileged? Cannot believe I just said that 🙄

    Labour's October Budget

The odious JRM didn’t inherit his wealth he earned it himself. His wife is due to inherit a fortune but the slimy sod actually earned his wealth contrary to common belief.

    Labour's October Budget

“waiting until your state pension age before retiring is an outdated concept” So people wait until they reach the state pension age. Would suggest that most people don’t wait, they don’t have the option and have to work till then. As to cutting their cloth accordingly, being able to afford...
