We usually split the journey up and stay in Niort on the way down and Alencon on the way home. Next year we are using the tunnel to come over but want to have our last week in Spain and are going to travel over to Portsmouth from Santander.

The only reason we are going that route is to explore that part of Spain rather than drive up to Calais and cross using Le Shuttle.

There are all kinds of ways that the average man can off set tax payments and having a tax strategy is as important as a well-planned pension strategy but, I am sure you know that. My advice would be to speak to a financial advisor and not someone from a message board but, again, you know that.
