agree with that. It's now so corporate, controlled and regulated.

    Anyone taught in a prison?

I'm thinking of doing this. Anyone have experience to share? I've taught for 25 years but want to try something different.

    Heartbroken tonight.

Very sorry to hear that. Another young life wasted in an instant. If cars were banned and public transport was a priority, accessible and efficient, then I'd quite happily give up my vehicle. One day this might be the case, then most of the pollution, injury, death and madness would go away.

.. everyone with their own surveillance looking to prosecute everyone else.. welcome to the future, or is it now? It's also a cultural thing.. every country has it's own way. I was surprised how respectful the driving was in the US (New York), seemed slow and patient. India was another matter...

I started this thread because I thought my prosecution was unfair. Actually, I was unaware of the 1.5m rule, just using my own judgement to pass cyclists safely. Never had an issue until this incident (30 years of driving, 10 with motorhome). Now I am very much aware of the law. From all the...

My opinion is still that I overtook the cyclist safely and he was in no danger. However, the law says that this was not the case, so there is nothing to do but accept the law. I guess I was unaware that there has to be a 1.5m gap whereas the gap I left is probably about 1.30m, hard to tell. I...

Actually agree with the idea that motorhome drivers should have to do a course. It's a different beast to a car especially old one's with no power steering or rear view camera. A lot of owners of larger vans I know bash their vehicles, often in car parks.

Sorry to hear that. Why not report him as this sounds genuine dangerous driving rather than my case.
