Not what he said though is it.... he is clearly saying the UK can do as much as it likes... but if at the other side it is a shambles then that is the fault of the EU, which it would be. Similarly if it is a shambles at our side, it is our fault not the EU's
What is wrong with what he said? If there are issues when people land at the other side that isn't the fault of the UK. If it is in the UK it is our issue. What you are suggesting is any issues when people get to Europe should be our issue too, which it isn't
