    LNER

This has been trialled on LNER for while now. Think it is pretty standard elsewhere.

Public Asked To Raise Local Issues Important To Them

You just said the aim of the exercise is to find out what key issues are important to residents. Guess not.

Public Asked To Raise Local Issues Important To Them

This reads very much like "we have already decided which topics we would like to talk about"

The route cause of poverty in the UK

The route cause of poverty in the UK is our utter inability to build anything. We don't build enough houses, we haven't built a major power station since 1995, we haven't built a reservoir since 1991, we have built about 40 miles of high speed railway in 40 years. We have managed to build a...

    TransPennine nationalised

Believe the train going to Saltburn solves a bit of operational problem of the train having to idle on the Whitby line, whilst waiting to make the return leg. Now it adds some extra capacity going east and means the whitby line is not blocked.

Interest rates predicted to rise again tomorrow….

What has this got to do with anything? "Politician is clueless" wow amazing insight. The people on the BoE MPC are experts and randos on a football messageboard are not. This country would be in a far better position if the government and the general population actually listened to experts...

    Train station at the Riverside?

Agree and they need more bus lanes dedicated bus ways so that buses don't get stuck with regular traffic. I would get the bus to and from the match if it was quick and easy. At the moment you'd just be stuck in traffic so I may as well sit in a comfy car.

    Train station at the Riverside?

    This, but unironically.

    Train station at the Riverside?

Agree with that! Our local politicians can't help themselves when it comes to overambitious and undeliverable boondoggles. Brings back memories of middlehaven project with Marge Simpsons hair and a toaster.

Brexit barriers and the young: a new deal is needed

Because they can get away with it. Why pay more for staff if you have a virtual unlimited supply of willing employees?

    Train station at the Riverside?

Never going to happen. People think it's as simple as popping a couple of platforms in and telling train drivers to stop.
