    Is this the same RSPB that sold land at Saltholme to a private company to build a gas fired power plant ? Land that they told us was used as a feeding ground for Curlews ? The same Curlews that they had previously told us were in decline ?

    It's a difficult one. Personally, given what it symbolises, I would say yes. However the Sierra Leonian people I met had no problem with it.

    Visited Bunce Island when I was working in Sierra Leone. Thousands of Africans were held there before being sold as slaves. A British flag was still flying.
