Some of you have perhaps seen my post a couple of weeks ago, sadly letting people on here know that long term poster Stepper_T had passed away after a short illness.
Ste was a massive Boro fan and I've just found out some of his friends have arranged for a tribute to take place during next...
I went to my first ever Brazilian football match this evening to see Botafogo play Atletico Mineiro in the Olympic Stadium in Rio.
Considering Mineiro are the reigning Brazilian champions and newly promoted Botafogo sit 10th in Serie A, it was a poor game. I went with the amusing notion that I...
I'm sorry to have to share that long time poster and all-time really good guy @Stepper_T lost his battle for life after a relatively short illness.
For those who didn't really know Ste, he was one of life's genuine nice guys and a massive Boro (and Las Vegas Raiders) fan.
Sleep well mate x
I'm in Brazil and my guide today is a massive Sao Paulo fan, so of course he has heard of Middlesbrough because of Juninho.
I don't get much signal out here (Iguassu Falls) and the sun makes it hard to see the screen.
I really want to send him that video of the guy who travels the country...

First single from their new album was released this week and it's a belter. Brett Anderson describes the album as more "punky" than anything they've done before and if this first track is an indication of the rest of songs then I can't wait for its release!
Interesting list!

Brighton at 18th (above AC Milan), Man Utd at 32 (below Crystal Palace and Aston Villa) and Sunderland just above Vancouver and Ross County.
Boro are at 200 (to save you looking!)
For me it's Chicago Fire in the MLS. Despite somehow persuading Xherdan Shaqiri to play for them, they are awful. We have four season tickets at work (given for free by the club) but I still haven't been tempted to go yet this year (maybe I will now the English footy season is over).
Following on from the other thread on here.....share some great songs with terrible lyrics.
My starter is my personal favourite.....New Life by Depeche Mode:
"I stand still stepping on the shady streets and I watched that man to a stranger"
Apologies to @Kowalski as this kind of thread is now his FMTTM intellectual property, but listening to my 80s Spotify playlist has made me remember just how good a band The Icicle Works were. I don't think I fully appreciated McNabb's songwriting in my youth........great lyrics and those hooks...
On the back of my 80s playlist post, just listening to this track and it's so Roxy Music that you could sneak it onto Avalon and no one would've suspected a thing!
....I've been chipping away at this for a couple of years now....stick on shuffle and enjoy!

Just booked flights to Rio for 3 weeks this summer and am now planning the itinerary. We have a route planned but need ideas/recommendations etc from people who have been to:
Rio (and the surrounding area......looking at a day trip to Paraty for example)
Iguazu Falls
Bonito and Panatanal...
