So, here's a statement I never thought I'd type.
I met Chris Eubank at portrack interchange today.

OK, full disclosure - he was in his car and I in mine but I did give him the thumbs up and he waved back at me.
Recognised his number plate because I'd seen Eubank jnr when working in London in a different car but with the same plate (KO 1). Pulled up along side him at the lights. Pretty random place for him to be. I think he was lost.

So, who have you met / seen, and where was it? 20221111_153921.jpg

Working on the Sydney harbour bridge for ten years, and long before we had Bridgeclimb, I had met hundreds of famous people
from politicians, musicians and athletes but my favourite was Tina Turner.
She made a commercial for the Australian rugby league singing the song Simply the Best on top of the bridge and she was in and out of my
crane for breaks regularly and I spent some quality time with her.
She was amazing and so down to earth.
Unforgettable moments for me.

The Queen, Prince Philip and Prince Charles in one week.

Bumped into both Roger Moore and Rik Mayall (separately) whilst out and about too.

Eclectic mix or what? 😂

I actually bumped into Whoopi Goldberg in the lobby of the Beverley Hilton. When I say bumped into, I literally did. Was the night Barry Manilow was playing. Didn't meet him but we saw him through the doors of the room he was playing. We were staying there and that night it was old style celebrity heaven. The goodie bags were unreal. I was offered 2 VIP backstage passes via someone I was having a smoke with. I needed a suit and since I was on holiday, I didn't have one. Mrs sadgit was gutted as she is a HUGE Manilow fan.

On a team bonding trip to London (worked in Watford) we were set several tasks, one of which meetva celeb. I bumped into Corries Gail Platt, no idea real name, then I saw Claudia Winkleman. Being the complete **** I am I said “ ah Davina!” And she smiled and said, not me guv.

Brilliant.

Apart from World Cup winning footballers I’d say two American presidents, the queen and Adam Clayton

Depends what you mean by met I suppose.

I've been up close to (but not spoken to) the entire cast of Friends as well as Paul Rudd and Hank Azaria, Katie Perry (on the top of a volcano as you do), Paul Whitehouse, the chuckle brothers. And top of the list Pope JP2 (my mate managed to shake his hand).

To speak to though. Probably Juninho, I was on the tennis court him and Marinelli had booked. That was surreal.

Bradley Cooper, back of theatre Royal before elephant man play. Only me, him and the Mrs and a driver laughing at Mrs reaction.
Rod Stewart, sat next to him in said theatre and walked out with him chatting about football. Both seemed really decent fellas
