Has there been any response from Chris Wilder yet about the sacking would love to hear his take on it ? Hopefully, he will be able to speak out and not constrained by any pay off he is given

I wonder where his next club will be?

I can’t see him going premier league, championship top six hopeful? A bit like when Bournemouth nearly collapsed and Woodgate stepped in. Could it happen at Burnley? Might he go to Coventry to finally get his man?!?!

Does he still love paddy mcnair?

That song needs a serious rework crooks doesnt score belters anymore and as for isaiah running down the right hand side...

West Brom probably - only a matter of time before they ditch Bruce and they apparently wanted him before he came to us but the owner changed his mind

Would be shocked if he didn’t end up at West Brom once Bruce is sacked

He will have signed an NDA as part of his leaving package
He won't have to sign that, would he? If he hadn't agreed to one before he signed his contract (he might have done this mind).

I think when most managers get sacked their contract gets paid up, unless the manager offers to give up some of what he was due (I doubt he'd do this as the club didn't get the players we needed). It might be a case where the only way we could sack a manager and not pay of their contract would be if they had not met targets, but even then this may be illegal and they would be entitled to some sort of warning/ review, as I think is the case with workers rights etc.

Don't we just keep paying his salary every month as if he still worked here and then stop when he gets a new job?

Or is it all agreed when he signs his contract eg clause 1 when you inevitably fail we will pay you x pounds to get rid of you.

Yeah, maybe that would be an option too, but we may have to make up the difference if he's paid less?

The latter wouldn't work, for a fixed fee, as the value would decrease over time as his contract nears completion. Effectively it's not a sacking, it's paying them off if you don't have it specifically written down what could be grounds for dismissal (without paying up).

Don't forget the reputational damage if the reasons for the dismissal comes out. No club statement about the reason ie. poor results so the real circumstances could impact on the compensation level.

The fist option was what Mowbray had at Celtic and because we were going to be paying him a lot less, it took time to sort out.

Option 2 was just me being sarcastic - a sliding scale might work though on pay off amount. It probably depends how desperate we were to sign him and how much he wanted to come when we offered contract.
