Queue to view the Queens coffin.

The queue is ridiculous in my opinion.

A better way would be to slowly parade the coffin closely past lines of people, it would be far quicker and allow many more to ‘see’ the queen. It would not be disrespectfuL, she is on display anyway.

You have to move with the times and the ability of far more people to get to London to view an event like this than in the past.

Instead of being a period of mourning for royalists it has turned into an ordeal, and for what purpose?.

Men and women who have put their lives on the line serving in the British forces deserve respect.
Certainly not being ridiculed by the likes of you.
As was said last week if you've nothing good to say , just say nothing.
What worries me is the oath to the monarch. That seems dangerous to me. If Charlie says, 'I don't like this government, throw them out of Parliament and arrest them' then many in the forces would probably do it.

They should attach it to the back of the Red Arrows. They could cover the whole country in a few hours.

They have done that anyway with the drive from Balmoral to Edinburgh via Aberdeen and Dundee and then Northolt to BP via the A40. They will also drive from Westminster Abbey to Windsor very slowly on Monday.

Unless you are looking to turn it into a charade like a torch relay you just dont parade a dead body around on some nationwide tour.

I'm not sure I fully understand this queue.

From social media it seems that fairly early on you're given a wristband with a time of entry spanning an hour.

Why do you then need to sit in a queue for 30 hours?

Don't you just go shopping and come back for your alloted slot - maybe queue for an hour at most?

Or is the queue for the wristbands rather than the entry?

It just all seems very odd for an event that must have been decades in the planning.

You are given a wristband so you can leave the queue for food and drink it doesn’t give you a time of entry. It also prevents queue jumpers.

Yeah, curiosity got the better of me and I looked it up. You get a time of entry for the accessibilty queue but not for the standard queue.

Seems a bit daft, but hey-ho.

Sorry.

I would queue just to make sure it is my ex wife in the coffin!!! Just a joke, sorry again for any offence caused. 'Dark humour' is cathartic in times of death and sadness and a positive coping mechanism. Soldiers used it often during the wars to help them get through the trauma of it all.
Reminds of the joke about the copper and the speeding pensioner (I thought you were bringing her back!).

People have collapsed with exhaustion and dehydration, the elderly and disabled are at risk also standing with no sleep for up to 24 hours. A man sexually assaulted two women before jumping into the Thames. Then, David Beckham turns up in the queue! Thankfully without his pouting wife who would have looked suitably solemn for the occasion, no doubt.

Good for him in one way and yet it made me think, is there anything he doesn't involve himself in? His face is just about everywhere. Its all about him. I hope it has been a positive distraction for the many people queuing and was done with the best of intentions. Sorry, I know I'm an old cynic. Forgive me.
It was good of beckham to recognise to not use his privilege and went about it the right way for me

It's a shameless attempt by Beckham at pressurising the establishment into giving him the knighthood he thinks he should have been given. Revealed his true obnoxious self in the emails he sent about it

I believe they will parade the coffin at the funeral and they have already paraded it in Edinburgh and to get to the Palace
