Would you have VAR in the championship

Absolutely not. Goal line technology is an example of something that works well and doesn't interrupt the flow of the game. It rights the wrongs instantaneously.

VAR takes a wrecking ball to the flow, it disrupts the rhythm, and plays with the emotion of supporters.

I really don't understand what you're saying. What would Maccarones goal have been disallowed for if we had been playing with VAR? I've just watched it back on youtube there's not even a hint of offside? No handball? None of their players take a knock? None of them even complain or appeal to the ref for anything?
You really don't do you.

Worst decision of the weekend surely has to be the ref in the Villa-City match not letting a decision go to VAR? Blew early, lino got it wrong, good goal disallowed.

It's only opinion, but the constant tinkering with the laws and the interpretation of them shows that the officials are at best inconsistent in their application of the laws of the game.
So you had nothing top back up an assertion. The frequent alteration of the laws of goal kicks is to speed the game up. The frequent alteration of the laws of offside is to create more attacking play.

I think VAR can be effective and improve the game for the fans, as it did in the Euros, but in the EPL its application seems to be a over the place - its obvious that this season there is a directive to allow for more physical play, but some really obvious stuff is being ignored.

I also think the offside rule needs updating, because the level of detailed measurement provided by VAR wasn't available when the rule was written. Maybe offsides should be measured by the torso, or shoulders, but when goals are being chalked off because a toe, or finger is offside, its not what the rule is intended for.
