Jones needs dropping/ resting

I'd sell him or do a swap deal whilst his stock is still high. I think he'll continue to be found out. I hope he wasn't just a half season wonder but he's been off the boil for months now.

No I’m not. I’m identifying a weakness we currently have. Not the only one admittedly as the defensive unit collectively looks slow and ponderous.Jones is a pale shadow of the player from last season. Offering very little threat, suspect positional play he is nowhere near the asset he proved to be last season.

I thought Jones played well, his defensive duties are good, he's struggling a bit going forward, but hes a young lad who is still learning, he burst on the scene, approx 18 months ago, after coming from non league & took to the championship as if he'd been there all his life, he's been a breat of fresh air, but he tailored off at the back end of last season & this season so far, he's not been the same player

IMHO, this season is a big, big season for him, does CW perseve with him & hopefully he improves his forward play & moves on, or does CW take him away from the 1st team to protect the lad, big call

Teams are singling him out as a threat, doubling up and hence he's not having as much of an impact in games. However we've gotta remember it's still relatively early days in his career, lad has barely played much professional football. He will come good, and at some point big teams will come in for him.

He hasn’t played to his potential for some time.
Agree, but as I said he's young, came from how many leagues below us & shown often enough he has got what it takes

One thing I love about Jones is his attitude, he must know part of his game he's struggling but he doesnt let that affect him, he fights, chases, always wanting the ball, which, for me, is a credit to the lad

Laughable that some were saying he is better than Spence

He just isn’t good enough to show the consistency we need, but we can’t drop him because who else comes in, Smith?

That’s opening up more space for Giles. When teams get on to that, space will open up for Jones again. And he’ll have yards to run into instead of a crowd.

It’s a longer game we’re playing IMO. This rush to definitive judgement is really unhealthy.
