VPN - to access video of match through Boro website

Hi,
I know this gets asked all the time - but is there a simple VPM for IT idiots like me to be able to download and watch the Boro match today via the club website?
I often pay the £3 to listen to the games but I would much rather pay the £10 to watch if I can convince my laptop to show as being in Germany or whatever.
Cheers!

Carl, assuming you are watching on chrome go to chrome webstore and search for ghost vpn. Install it and at the top right hand corner of the browser there is a jigsaw piece, click that and click on ghost vpn in the dropdown list. Select a country outside of the uk that is geographically close, france for example then click the on button.

Where it says "connected to Toronto" click that and it will let you change to anotherr territory. Also before you start streaming visit a internet speed checker and test the download rate you are getting. You will need about 5 mbp to stream without problems.

How reliable is that VPN? I pay £4 a month for the one I have .. but if can save a few pennies per month then I will ..

Rauko I pay a 3 yearly subscription of 58 quid so I don't know how quick the free one is. I tested it for a couple of months before paying for it 4 years ago and it always worked ok for bbc iplayer abroad.

Install it and do a speed test would be my advice. It's one of the big ones so I would expect it to be reliable even in the free-to-use mode.

Hopefully the football clubs will be in a position to tell sky that they are rescinding exclusive broadcast rights so supporters can stream their clubs content in the UK without putting money into Sky's coffers which I steadfastly refuse to do rather than having to grey export it via a vpn which remains "illegal"

I will not have sky either. If I want to watch a game on sky I either dodgy stream or if its a boro game use the matchday pass. People are going hungry in the UK, I am not going to fund the next ridiculous hike in prem broadcast payments.

Loads of free apps that work great. I go on the app, turn on VPN, back to the website and put the game on then airplay it to the tv

I use Express VPN, it’s not cheap but o use it for other stuff so already have it installed.

For the games usually not available I set my location somewhere obscure like Mongolia as they don’t televise EPL games there, this way I watch every game

I wasnt able to do it for some reason - dont know what I did wrong! I might ask our IT guy at work to do it for me 😊
I just listened to the match and it sounded pretty crap!
It was quite poor. The first 45 were dire. We got better in the second half and, probably, deserved a point. 10 quid saved in my opinion.
